Caddies Shine in a Rainbow of June Golf Competitions

June proved to be another great month of golf on the PGA Baobab Course, with a calendar packed full of premier events. From our caddies achieving national recognition to the celebration of fathers and the fun Rainbow golf tournament, the competitive energy remained high throughout the month. We also celebrated our monthly Mug and Medal winners in a tightly contested finish.

2nd June – National Caddies Competition at Diamond Leisure Diani

It was a proud moment for Vipingo Ridge as our very own Mary Mwatu claimed victory in the ladies category at the National Caddies Competition held at Leisure Diamond.

She scored an impressive 64 nett to win the ladies competition at the national level. A very proud moment for us all.

A huge thank you to all members for sponsoring 8 caddies and special appreciation to Betty Bundotich for coordinating the donation.

3rd June – Clubnite

The first Clubnite of the month saw a strong turnout and a great evening of play followed by prize-giving. Great to see Keziah winning Clubnite to start the month.

Mid-week competition continued with a tight finish, with the winner and runner-up separated by a countback.

13th June – Rainbow Golf Results

The vibrant Rainbow Golf tournament brought a colorful and competitive atmosphere to the course, with impressive scoring across the board.

17th June – Clubnite

Another successful Clubnite was held mid-month, with members navigating the Baobab Course for a competitive finish.

21st June – Father’s Day Coloured Ball

We celebrated fathers in style with a fun and competitive Coloured Ball format. Thank you to everyone who attended the prize-giving.

• Runner up Team: Anthony Howie, Keziah Howie, Betty Bundotich, Noni Wanyee – 83 points

The monthly Mug and Medal competition delivered excellent performances and a tie on nett scores to close out the month.
