Festive Season at Vipingo Ridge
As we switch on our Festive lights officially at Clubnight tonight we look ahead to fantastic December Holiday Season.
Our festive calendar has arrived. With exciting events, special celebrations, and memorable experiences at Vipingo Ridge we have a lot planned. We have all of our events listed in the Events section of the website.
As always our programme is extensive with something for all the family. Here we’ve crafted a selection of the events by interest for you to plan your holiday. Don’t forget, if you’re not staying with us, the Vipingo Ridge Beach Club is open to guests (though we request a deposit and prior booking please). Many of our events are for members and in house guests. Let’s take a look.
1. Holiday Sports Events
At Vipingo Ridge we love an active and social lifestyle for all ages and abilities across a range of sports.
Boules Events
We start with our popular (and already at capacity for entrants) Vipingo Ridge Annual Boules tournament led by the Members, with spectators welcome to join and support the teams on 29th November. They have also organised a Children’s Boules event on 18th December, that is open for entries: Children's Boules Competition.
Golf Events
As we move into December we have a lot of golf events on offer for a range of abilities, even those without Handicaps will have an opportunity to play the PA Baobab Course:
Saturday 6th December - launch of Untamed on the Tee - fundraising for Kenya Wildlife Services a Texas Scramble team competition
Friday 12th December - the Bring & Win Golf Brunch at the Baobab – A fun and festive competition for the golf members and their guests, followed by a hearty brunch celebration.
Saturday 20th December - our final Mug and Medal of 2025 - join the competitive ladies and mens competitions for the final time in 2025.
Friday 26th December - Tombstone Golf Competition - For over 18s and for all abilities. This is a fun format for any abilities, with alcohol (for those that partake) and an opportunity to bring the holiday spirit onto the course from Members and Guests.
Friday 2nd January - Night Pitching and Cocktails
Do not forget our regular weekly golf calendar, that also continues:
Mondays - Ladies Mix in from 2:00PM
Wednesdays - Clubnite 9-holes competition throughout the day, prizegiving at the Pool Gardens at 6:30PM
Fridays - Roll up, reduced green fees and a friendly competition throughout the day, prizegiving at the Clubhouse at 6:30PM
All of these are open for sign ups in the ProShop.
Other Sports and Wellness Events
Beyond golf we have Family Cricket on the Driving Range and of course the new Sports Club opening, we also have our annual Beach Triathlon. Please sign up early to help with the planning for both of these events.
During early December we have a rally team with us for their preparations for the East Africa Classic Safari Rally, enjoy glimpses of Classic Porsches, including a special display for on Sunset Social event on Saturday 29th November.

Mondays
8:00AM - Yoga session for 1 hour on the Clubhouse Rooftop
10:00AM - Beginners Golf on the driving range, complimentary introduction session
Tuesdays
8:30AM - Zumba Class for 1 hour on the Sunset Lawn
4:00PM - Walk with Rangers and explore the Ridge, meet at the Sports Club
Wednesdays
5:00PM - Boules Club Meet at the Sundowner, guests players welcome
8:00AM - Yoga session for 1 hour on the Clubhouse Rooftop
Thursdays
4:00PM - Electric bike safaris with the Rangers and explore the Ridge, meet at the Sports Club
5:00PM - Tennis Club Meet at the Sports Club, guests players welcome
Fridays
8:30AM - Zumba Class for 1 hour on the Sunset Lawn

2. Holiday Entertainment
We get into the festive spirit with a special lights switch on, Festive Lights Switch On, which includes our new lighting on the iconic PGA Baobab Course.
On 8th December we welcome Carols from the Coast Arts and Theatre Society and have a great selection of entertainment planned. On Sunday 21st December we will gather for cocktails and a few carols with our community and we also have a spectacular Circus performance planned between Christmas and the New Year on the 27th and 28th December.
For the big holidays on Christmas Eve we will invitee you to book a table at the Beach Club, with live music and our usual buzz at this busy time, on Christmas Day we have a special menu with service fine dining at the Clubhouse.
This New Years Eve we head to the Beach Club for a special Under the Sea themed event, with bands, DJs and a great programme on the sand. For young families and those opting for a quieter time, there will be a special movie night and pizza party at the Sundowner and Pool Gardens for new years.

3. Regular Social Events
Of course our regular events, and each week there are social events and drinks promotions to join:
Wednesday - Pizza and Pasta Specials at the Pool Gardens
Fridays - Happy Hour Specials from 6:00PM at the Clubhouse, new 19th
Saturdays - Sunset Social Happy Hour Specials from 6:00PM at the Pool Gardens
4. Beach Club Events
The Vipingo Ridge Beach Club is popular during the December Peak Season, and has its own programme of events, so please make sure you book in advance for your table. Please note there is a KES 1,000/- per adult charge to pay at time of booking, that can be redeemed against your food and drinks bill.
Music every Saturday and Sunday from 4:00PM - from local bands and DJs there will be entertainment from our new Booth to take you through the evening continue with a Full Moon Bonfire on a Sunday in December, Pizza Nights each Wednesday, Clubnight on Friday and Sunset Socials at the Pool Gardens on Saturdays. At the weekend the Beach will have live music each Saturday.

5. For the Whole Family
We have a dedicated section of the website for the child and teenager friendly events planned. Kids Club is three-times a week in the mornings, and each Friday is movie night.
