Great November Golf Highlights at the PGA Baobab Course
November delivered a fun and thrilling chapter of golf at the PGA Baobab Course, starting with a key junior event and culminating in the intense Ryder Cup showdown for the Vipingo Ridge Members.
With strong turnouts, impressive scoring, and memorable victories across our weekly Clubnites and Friday Roll-Ups, the spirit of competition and camaraderie shone brightly throughout the month.
2nd November – US Kids Golf Event
The month began by shining a spotlight on the next generation of talent as the PGA Baobab Course proudly hosted the US Kids Coast Tour Golf event. The almost 50 young golfers displayed remarkable skill and sportsmanship, proving the future of the game is bright!
5th November – Clubnite
Following the junior event, the first Clubnite of the month saw excellent form on display, setting a high standard for the month ahead:
Winner: Anthony Howie
Runner-Up: Beth Rune
Anthony secured a well-deserved victory, just edging out the consistently strong play of Beth Rune.
7th November – Friday Roll-Up
The first Friday Roll-Up of the month was a little quieter, and newer golfer Jane’s steady and precise round secured a win. We love to see the golf game growing - congratulations Jane. Presented here by Mishi from our golf team.

12th November – Clubnite
This mid-month Clubnite delivered a spirited contest, resulting in a strong winning performance:
Winner: Tim Williams
Runner-Up: Duncan Mitchell
Best Guest: Muema Muindi
Tim Williams demonstrated sharp play to claim the top spot.
14th , 15th , and 16th November – The Vipingo Ridge Ryder Cup
The highlight of the month was the intense, three-day Ryder Cup tournament, where Team Kenya battled Team the Rest of the World. With 16 players on each team this third annual event was the biggest yet.
Team RoW started strong on day 1, but the Kenya team fought back and after three days of drama and shot-making, the teams finished with tied points.
Following the tournament rules of the main Ryder Club, Team Kenya, as the previous year’s winner, was handed the victory to retain the prestigious trophy!
The event was kindly sponsored by EABL who really made the Members feel special. We thank them for their support.
19th November – Clubnite
The 19th competition of the Clubnite serial saw the strong partnership of Williams and Mitchell return to the top of the leaderboard:

Runner-Up: Duncan Mitchell
21st November Friday Roll-Up
The late-month Friday Roll-Up, marking the 20th event of its kind, saw players push for the best possible scores, with the competition split to recognise skill across both nine and eighteen holes:
Best 9 Holes: Lawrence Stone
Best 18 Holes: Peter Kinuthia
Peter Kinuthia clinched the overall best score for the full round, while Lawrence Stone dominated the first half of the course.
25th November – Monthly Caddies Golf Event
A busy day of competition started with the fiercely contested Monthly Caddies event, showcasing the talent behind the scenes:
Winner: Elson Nyinge
Runner-Up: Hellen Njillani
3rd Place: Omar Suleiman
Best Lady: Asia Kadzo
26th November – Clubnite
The evening closed with a strong field gathering for the Club Nite:
Winner: Beth Rune
Runner-Up: Shaida Samji
Best Guest: Jeremy Gould
Beth Rune’s determined performance earned her a decisive victory.
28th November – Friday Roll-Up
The penultimate Roll-Up of the month closed with a new winner, following her husbands win earlier in the month is was great to see another new winner:

29th November – Mug and Medal Competition
The month closed with the challenging Mug and Medal competition, bringing out the best in the field across net and gross scores:
Medal Winner: Cherry Ritchie
Mug Winner: Giancarlo Bonanno
Gross Winner: David Nolan
Golf Club Committee Members Cherry Ritchie took the ladies title, with Giancarlo Bonanno securing the prestigious Mug, and guest David Nolan posting the best scratch score of the day.
