Clubnite golf celebrations: April green season
In April we have had a mixed month with hollow tining essential work to improve the greens, and the start of the much needed and much appreciated rains. Great, as the course recovers from the long dry season, but challenging conditions for golfers.
In January we launched our new look Clubnite events at the PGA Baobab Course in January 2025, with new green fee pricing, new presentation and new every we have had another great month in March with more and more guest players joining the Vipingo Ridge Golf Club.
Here we take a look at the highlights from April:
Friday 4th April 2025
The rains arrived! We had a small group for this Clubnite, dodging the showers on the course, and the greens in recovery from the recent hollow tining maintenance. We did have a cake to celebrate the April babies, which was much enjoyed by the Members and guests.
Committee Member Les was on hand, stepping in for the Captain for the prizegiving and presentation.

Friday 11th April 2025
We had a stunning sunset on the Clubhouse Rooftop and Captain Rose Musau presided over the prizegiving, receiving a prize herself from Committee Member Les. Former Captain Sue took the win.

Friday 18th April 2025
We had a number of guest players for this mid-month Clubnite and a lovely sunset for the presentation. We also welcomed the Lady Captain from Windsor Golf Club to play an 18-hole round, overnight stay and Beach Club day on Saturday.

Friday 25th April 2025
The final Clubnite of April we had a clear day, but with the ladies of the Club representing at an away competition March was the start of the rains! Though of course very welcome, the rain did interrupt pla.y We moved inside to the Clubhouse dining room for the prizegiving, with Les from the Golf Club Committee stepping in to do the honours.

Thank you to all our Members and Guest players to came to help build momentum in our new Club events. We hope for rains in May as we build our water stocks, but also for clear Fridays for vibrant Clubnite events!

We have a golf retreat for 20 international guests using a number of our different events spaces over 3 days in September.
More details to be released soon on this private competition of 40 golfers from South Africa.
Each month our Members and Guests gather to compete for the Mug and Medal. This is a morning competition with lunchtime presentation.
Play our mid-month competition - a team event to support Kenya tree planting: Greensomes. A fun morning competition with curry lunch at the Pool Gardens.
We welcome back the YEN - Young Entrepreneurs Network - for their Golf Competition at the PGA Baobab Course.
We have a golf retreat for 8 international guests using a number of our different events spaces over 4 days in October.
Year of Return to Africa (YORA) are back at the Ridge, and this time we welcome them for a golf competition.
This Mashujaa day we have a new competition in the fun format Florida Scramble. Join us at the PGA Baobab Course for a great public holiday event.
We have a golf group of 60 from Zimbabwe using a number of our different events spaces over 5 days in October.
