Double hitter weekend with golf for all ages

At Vipingo Ridge we have facilities and coaches for all skills and experiences. Our PGA academy hosts beginners through to Pros interested in our advanced swing analysis.

We also love to host guest tournaments.

So when the Kenya Seniors club (over 65s) and the US Kids club (under 18s) both wished to host their events with us, one Saturday and one Sunday - on the same weekend - we were delighted.

Seniors Saturday

The first weekend in September (2nd September began with a the long standing (and highly contested) Upcountry versus Coast competition from the seniors. Many were in high spirits, with long standing friendships and rivalries rekindled. We had 154 golfers playing the PGA Baobab Course.

We are of course not biaised, but when our ‘local’ Coasties team won on their ‘home turf’ we were thrilled for them.

A Winning Sunday

On Sunday we hosted the US Kids golf series leg at Vipingo Ridge.

We have a great partnership with the US Kids golf organisation, with two of our own local ladies talents Jacky and Naomi, both qualified as Level 2 coaches to coach children’s golf here at Vipingo Ridge.

We also support Tatiana, a 17 year old talent from our very own Vipingo Village, she is currently leading the US Kids coast series.

This event in the calendar had 42 golfers playing, a fantastic number, and with the players and their families at the Clubhouse it made for a fantastic family day at Vipingo Ridge.

In the end Tatiana maintained her great form, taking the trophy and continuing to lead the series.

We could not be more proud.
