Nomadic Golf Tours fourth round brings great golf and tree planting

Nomadic Golf Tour fourth round ‘blown away’ at Vipingo Ridge

Nomadic Golf Tours and Safaris (NGTS) is a premier golf safari company in Kenya, providing a unique blend of golf tours that are designed to combine golf with an authentic African safari experience.

This year they launched a Golf Series to help promote golf tourism, and Vipingo Ridge was the chosen location for the fourth round.

This event took place last weekend August 19th and 20th in Vipingo Ridge.

The beautiful and sunny, but windy conditions across the weekend proved to be suitably challenging for the golfers, who were also 'blown away' by the beauty of the location.

Winners:

Women’s Category: Betty Bundotich with 36 Stableford points

Men's Category: Omar Lewa with 36 Stableford points

Overall Winner: Steve Waria with 38 Stableford points

It was a joy to see familiar smiling faces playing well and having a great time at the weekend. Please scroll through our gallery to take a scroll through this gallery:

Planting 100 trees at Vipingo Ridge

As we’re an organisation that prioritises both nature and golf, with our course set within a wildlife sanctuary, it was fantastic that the organisers at Nomadic Golf Tours donated 100 trees to Vipingo Ridge.

This wonderful contribution is part of their efforts to promote sustainability in golf safaris. With help from our Wildlife Team, NGTS planted some of their trees and the remaining trees are in the process of being planted by our team and volunteers.

We thank Nomadic Golf and their sponsors for choosing Vipingo Ridge for their new series, and their tree donation. Well done to all of our wonderful competitors for a great event.

Here’s a lovely video of this fantastic event:

The series will head onto Nyali Golf and Country Club in mid-September, before the grand final at Great Rift Valley Golf Resort, Naivasha.
