Experience Kilifi - launch of the Kenyan Riviera

On Sunday 10th September we were delighted to welcome H.E. the Governor Hon. Gideon Mung’aro, Governor of Kilifi County to the Vipingo Ridge Beach Club. He was fresh from launching the new Kilifi tourism product The Kenyan Riviera in Malindi the day before. The launch aims to build on the global awareness of Kilifi as a safari tourism destination and a strong coastal and beach destination, unveiling ambitious plans, and we’re thrilled to be included.

Our partner Go Jump Kenya was celebrating the final day of their international skydiving festival, and the Beach Club was hosting a Beach Party to bring together the community.

As well as a DJ, food and cocktails at the Beach Club restaurant, Go Jump Kenya were hosting a final day of tandem jumps and camaraderie, a week long programme of the 16 international skydivers together was a really special experience.

Our Governor commented: “We are intentional about making sure the World experiences what Kilifi County has to offer from pristine sandy beaches, azure waters, rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality. Like Go Jump Kenya, we will continue to partner with all stakeholders in the hospitality industry to make sure you too get a share of your own slice of paradise here in Kilifi.”

Vipingo Ridge features twice in the new Kenyan Riviera website - we are listed within the hotels section, but also in the beaches. We’re fortunate to have those very ‘pristine beaches’ and ‘azure waters’ right on our doorstep.
