Golfers of all ages at the PGA Baobab Course this September
September brought another month of vibrant golfing action at Vipingo Ridge, with Wednesday Clubnite, the Friday Roll-Ups, and the Monthly Mug & Medal drawing in strong participation and impressive performances.
We also welcomed guest groups for these events as well as competitions from the Seniors of Kenya and the coast youth players in the US Kids Coast tour.

Here’s a look back at the highlights from September.
Club Nite - 3rd September
The month opened with a lively Club Night on 3rd September. Giancarlo Bonanno secured the win with consistent play, while Rose Musau delivered a strong round to finish as runner-up.
Friday Roll-Up - 5th September
On 5th September, members and guests teed it up for the Friday Roll-Up. Anthony Howie emerged victorious, setting the stage for what would become an outstanding month for him.
Senior Golf Competition - 6th September
On 6th September, Vipingo Ridge hosted the Senior Golf Competition, featuring a thrilling contest between the Coast golfers and the Senior Golf Society of Kenya (SGSK). The Coast team emerged victorious with a combined score of 384 points, while SGSK finished with 348 points. The event attracted an impressive field of 88 golfers, making it one of the standout highlights of the month.
Club Night - 10th September
The following week’s Club Night saw Anthony Howie continue his winning streak, clinching first place once again. Joe Carvalho also impressed, finishing as runner-up.
Friday Roll-Up - 12th September
Friday, 12th September, featured a double victory for the ladies. Francesca Biancacci topped the leaderboard in the 18-hole competition, while Beth Rune shone in the Best 9 Holes category.
US Kids Junior Golf Competition -14th September
On 14th September, Vipingo Ridge hosted the US Kids Junior Golf Competition, an exciting event that brought together young golfers from across the region. The day marked another milestone in supporting the next generation of talent.
Clubnite - 17th September
Mid-month, Clubnite on 17th September saw Rose Musau claim victory with steady form, while Duncan Mitchell secured the runner-up spot.
Friday Roll-Up - 19th September
The next Friday Roll-Up brought a mix of results. Chris Everard won the 9 Holes, while Beth Rune demonstrated excellent consistency to take home the overall 18-hole win.
Clubnite - 24th September
Clubnite on 24th September highlighted Beth Rune’s fine form as she secured the top prize. Chris Everard finished as runner-up, and Nyatetu Kiragu earned recognition as Best Guest.
Friday Roll-Up - 26th September
Rounding off the month, the Friday Roll-Up on 26th September saw Anthony Howie return to winning ways, confirming his dominance throughout September.
Monthly Mug & Medal - 27th September
The month concluded with the prestigious Monthly Mug & Medal competition. Les Baillie lifted the Mug after a fine round, while Sue Williamson impressed to claim the Medal.
September was a vibrant month of golf at Vipingo Ridge, with packed schedules across Clubnites, Friday Roll-Ups, the US Kids Junior Golf Competition, and the Monthly Mug & Medal.
The variety of formats kept competition lively and engaging, bringing together members and guests in a true celebration of the sport. With weekly fixtures now firmly established, October is set to continue the momentum with even more exciting rounds ahead.
Clubhouse Renovations
During October the Clubhouse operations for Food and Beverage will be closed for renovations.
The Proshop, Gym and Changing Rooms remain unaffected by the works. Our Pool Gardens restaurant is open 7-days a week from 8:00AM serving coffee and breakfast, through to evenings. With sunset views, cold drinks and a sports bar it’s a great option while the renovations to the Clubhouse bar and kitchen are completed during October.
