Join us on Saturday 11th May for a fun family event at Vipingo Ridge.
A team of local organisers, made up of Vipingo Ridge homeowners and friends, are arranging a car-based treasure hunt across the Ridge.
Starting at 2:30PM and finishing at the Sundowner, your team will use your car to follow clues around the Ridge before joining for a prize giving (at 6:00PM) and afterparty at the Sundowner.
The event is fundraising for local school Gongoni Primary.
Registration
Entries are 5,000/- per car. 100% of the entry will go to the event organisers to support their fundraising target (more on this below).
Each car must have at least two adults (driver with a valid driving license). Please pay on Mpesa and you can then register online, with your Mpesa confirmation as part of the form.
Registration closes Monday 6th May for final event preparations.
You will need a team name for your registration.

More about the event
The group of organisers have a great concept - ‘Safari around the world in 80 minutes’ for the entered teams to follow. There are some rules and details to familiarise yourself with ahead of the event:

Designated driver must hold a valid driving license and insurance
Follow the speed limit and rules of the road.
Seat belts to be worn at all times.
Your team should have at least 1 smart phone with reasonable charge, location services turned on and access to Google Maps in case of an emergency.
Maintain a respectful distance from wild animals.
Cars should be suitable for off-road terrain (no golf buggies).
Car number plates to be registered by Tuesday 6th May.

On arrival at the Main Gate cars will be issued with their car pass for the event.
If you are within the Ridge already please head to the Main Gate during the morning to receive your car pass.
A registration desk will be at Sundowner Bar. All teams must arrive by 2:30 PM to receive their instruction packs and briefing.
The start and end point of the hunt will be at the Sundowner Bar.
Upon completing the hunt, a complimentary cocktail or mocktail will be provided to each participant.

All teams will receive a map. Marshalls will be stationed at strategic points along the route. If teams get lost, they can contact Dush at 0718 475 588 or navigate back to Sundowner Bar.

Clues will be visual, physically placed, or cryptic in nature, and clustered around the locations on the map. Some clues may also be on the way!
Teams must collect tokens, and provide answers either in writing or by taking a selfie with the clue. Bonus questions will also be included to challenge teams further.

Fun and Fundraising
This event is for all the family as you explore and gather clues around the Ridge. Not only will it be great fun, the monies to enter your team will go towards a fundraising target to support Gongoni Primary School. The team have visited the local school to Vipingo Ridge and have an amazing ambition for the donations that will be made.
