Celebrating Housekeeping Week at Vipingo Ridge
Last week, from 8th to 12th September, Vipingo Ridge joined the world in marking International Housekeeping Week, a special time dedicated to recognizing the unsung heroes of the hospitality industry.
Housekeepers play a vital role in ensuring that every guest’s experience is nothing short of exceptional. Their hard work, attention to detail, and dedication often go unnoticed, yet they form the backbone of hospitality service.
At Vipingo Ridge, we chose to celebrate our team of housekeeping professionals in our own unique way, honoring their contribution with a blend of fun, appreciation, and community.
International Week of Appreciation for our team
This year’s global theme ‘Everything you touch turns awesome’ we focussed on both excellence for the team in their work, but also on their product knowledge and wellbeing.
The celebrations kicked off with a Yoga and Zumba Session at the Shariani Conference Hall, where our staff had the opportunity to relax, share experiences, and take part in interactive activities that strengthened team spirit.
A highlight of the session was the cake cutting ceremony, which added a sweet touch of joy and togetherness to the day and a kick off to Housekeeping Week 2025.
Each day the team experienced new experience at Vipingo Ridge, furthering their understanding of their workplace and the experiences guests to Vipingo Ridge can enjoy.
To crown the week, the team embarked on a guided tour around the Ridge, which included visits to key sites such as the solar power plant, the Dam, the Mango Forest and the MotoX field.
The experience not only offered an opportunity to appreciate the diverse initiatives within the estate but also served as a reminder of the vital role housekeeping plays in maintaining the overall environment that residents and guests enjoy.
