A Celebration of Excellence

The Mug & Medal competition is more than just a tournament it’s a celebration of golfing excellence, camaraderie, and the spirit of competition at Vipingo Ridge.

The June edition was no exception, leaving behind a trail of highlights and memorable moments. As we move into the second half of the year, the bar has been set even higher. All eyes now turn to the next edition with player’s eager to claim their spot in the Vipingo Ridge’s stand out performers.

As well as celebrating golf success, Preferred Personnel Africa are also recognising 30 years of trading this year, a fantastic milestone. As part of their ongoing celebrations they also made a donation to local coastal charity Kids League Kenya.

Joe Carvalho Claims the Mug Title

Joe Carvalho capped off a stellar month with a commanding performance to take home the coveted Mug title. Having already made a mark in earlier June events, Carvalho brought precision, patience, and poise to the course, sealing his victory and cementing his status as one of the month’s most consistent and formidable competitors.

Rose Musau Secures the Medal

In the Medal category, it was Rose Musau who emerged victorious with a well-rounded and strategically played round. Her consistency and sharp focus underlined a performance that was both elegant and effective, earning her deserved recognition among her peers.

On her birthday, and celebrating 30 years of Preferred Personnel Africa it was fantastic for her to have a great round of golf.

Guest Spotlight: Hilda Mugure

In the Best Guest category, Hilda Mugure stood out with her brilliant showing. Her ability to adapt quickly to the conditions and deliver steady play throughout the round won her the admiration of fellow golfers.

Subsidiary Event Standouts

The Subsidiary Event also saw fierce competition. Christine Dhanji claimed top honors with an impressive performance, while J.D. Ndungu finished close behind in second place, both showcasing the depth of talent across the entire field.
