Local talent Tatiana victory in the US Kids Coast Tour half way stage

This weekend the third round of the UK KIDS Coast tour took place at Nyali Golf Club in Mombasa, with our local Vipingo village talent, and Vipingo Ridge sponsored junior golfer Tatiana on fantastic form.

Dominating the series so far

The UK KIDS programme is a fantastic partner organisation, and we’re delighted to work with them on a number of initiatives. This tournament is part of a 6 round series based at the Kenyan coast, encouraging young golfers to learn sportsmanship, develop their social skills and of course be active outside.

17-year old Tatiana is sponsored throughout this tournament series by Vipingo Ridge, coached by our PGA Professional Saleem, attending events up and down the Kenyan coast.

The first stage was at Diamonds Leisure Lodge in Diani - Tatiana won her category (Girls 15 -18)

The second stage was held at here Vipingo Ridge - Tatiana was triumphant on her home course. Please read aboout it here.

At the Half way stage

The third round was in nearby Nyali was another win at the half way stage of the series. Tatiana was confident going into the event, feeling physically ready and in a great head space.

The win this weekend takes her to a 40-point lead over second placed player Vivian. She’s having a great time playing the tournaments and has commanding lead in the series. She’s keeping up with her school studies and we’re all very proud of her.

Up next we have the Diamonds Leisure Lodge 21st and 22nd October, and the final event of the series in Nyali on 29th October 2023.
