Playing golf at Vipingo Ridge: Fun March Highlights

This March, the PGA Baobab Course remained a hub of activity and community spirit. From our weekly Clubnite to the prestigious Senior Golf Society of Kenya visit, the month was defined by consistent play and a shared passion for the game. We celebrate the dedication of our members, caddies, and guests who made every event on the calendar a success.


4th March – Clubnite

We kicked off the month with a fantastic turnout for our first Wednesday Clubnite. A huge thank you to everyone who supported the competition and joined us for the prize-giving to celebrate our first winners of the month.

  • Winner: Keziah Howie

  • Runner-Up: Duncan Mitchell


11th March – Clubnite

The competitive energy continued into the second week of March with another win from the ladies of the Club. Thank you to everyone who supported the golf competition and attended the prize-giving.

  • Winner: Elizabeth Rune


14th March – Waltz Competition

Teamwork was the theme for our Waltz competition, where groups navigated the course in a rhythmic scoring format. It was a day of strategic play and great camaraderie.

  • Winning Team: Kiragu Gichuri, Keziah Howie, and Rose Musau (82 Stableford points)

  • Runner-Up Team: Richard Frost, Anthony Denton, and Ole Van Vliet (79 Stableford points)


18th March – Clubnite

Mid-month saw a tightly contested leaderboard during our Wednesday Clubnite series, with just one point separating our top finishers.

  • Winner: Richard Frost (18 points)

  • Runner-Up: Rose Musau (17 points)


21st March – Monthly Mug and Medal

The 21st saw the return of the Monthly Mug and Medal, a test of consistency and skill that remains a staple of our golfing calendar.

  • Mug Winner: Nick Walters (72 net)

  • Medal Winner: Rose Musau (79 net)


24th March – Clubnite

Our final Tuesday Clubnite of the month featured excellent play and another closely contested finish on the greens.

  • Winner: Nick Walters (18 points)

  • Runner-Up: Ole Van Vliet (17 points)


29th March – Senior Golf Society of Kenya (SGSK) Competition

It was an honor to host the Senior Golf Society of Kenya. The course provided a beautiful backdrop for a day of high-level competition among the seniors and guests.

  • Seniors Winner: Richard Frost (35 points)

  • Seniors Runner-Up: Les Baillie (33 points)

  • Guest Winner: Fernando Marques (37 points)

  • Guest Runner-Up: Dixon Waruingi (34 points)


31st March – Caddies Competition

Our dedicated caddies showcased their deep knowledge of the Baobab Course in the final competition of the month. Their impressive scores are a testament to their skill and understanding of the game.

  • Winner: Eunice Kambi (70 net)

  • Runner-Up: Raphael Ziro (71 net)

  • 3rd Place: Erustas Kaingu (72 net)

As the month came to a close, March stood out as a testament to the growing enthusiasm and competitive spirit within the Vipingo Ridge golfing community. With consistent participation and remarkable performances across all events, the stage is well set for an even more exciting April on the course.
