Hosting Press Briefing for Environmental Media Dialogue
Vipingo Ridge is a world-class venue for events, both in amenities and beauty. Our beauty is rooted in nature and respecting our environment.
We believe that true luxury isn't just about world-class amenities; it's about developing a world-class community. We had the privilege of being the venue for the media launch for the upcoming Annual Environmental Media Dialogue.
The media briefing served as the official announcement for the main event, which will take place on Saturday, 7th May, at the Vipingo Ridge Beach Club. The gathering brought together key partners and media houses to create awareness for a dialogue focussed on a powerful conversation, asking the media to play their part in amplifying community voices and the importance of ocean conservation.
An Environmental Dialogue with Purpose
The media launch saw strong participation from the core organizing partners. The event was spearheaded by Mombasa-based Blue Radio in partnership with Media for Nature.
From our locale Vipingo Ridge, alongside our long standing partners, KCWA (Kuruwitu Conservation and Welfare Association, our community based organisation partners) and Ocean Alive Foundation (NGO based at the Vipingo Ridge Beach Club) were proud to tell our stories of 20 years of partnership and conservation.
The impressive turnout of media houses including representatives from TV 47, the Media Council of Kenya, Blue Radio, Standard Media, and the Kenya News Agency underscored the vital importance of this initiative.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, Dr Chula Mwagona Kilifi County CECM Agriculture, Livestock and Blue Economy, who gave an engaging address as the son of a Fisherman, and one-time aspiring journalist who highlighted the local government's commitment to environmental conservation, community engagement and asked the media to help tell the stories of Kilifi County.
Vipingo Ridge: Where Purpose Meets Place
As a proud partner of the upcoming Annual Environmental Media Dialogue, Vipingo Ridge is provided the venue for both today's launch at the Vipingo Ridge Clubhouse Rooftop, and the main event on 7th May 2026 at the Vipingo Ridge Beach Club.
Our Beach Club offers a serene and inspiring natural environment that directly connects attendees with the coastal ecosystem we are all striving to protect. Home to the Ocean’s Alive Foundation Headquarters, the Climate Smart Kitchen Garden, KCWA Community Shop and Coral Restoration Workshop, the Beach Club balances community and eco-tourism, with a direct connection to the Kuruwitu tengefu (protected ocean area).
The two events also showcases Vipingo Ridge's role as a premier MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination. We believe that the best ideas flourish in environments that inspire, and our facilities are designed to host high-impact gatherings of varying sizes, that blend professionalism with the unparalleled beauty of the Kenyan coast. From intimate press briefings to large-scale conferences, we provide the perfect backdrop for conversations that matter.
Annual Environmental Media Dialogue 7th May 2026
We look forward to welcoming the organizers, media partners, and community representatives back to the Beach Club on Saturday, 7th May, for what promises to be a transformative Annual Environmental Media Dialogue.
At Vipingo Ridge, building a world-class community means creating spaces for these essential conversations to happen. We are proud to be the venue and look forward to continuing to support the vital work of conservation and storytelling along our coast.
