From our innovative ‘Making Space for Wildlife’ programme with Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to our 20 year pioneering Marine Conservancy partnerships with the fishing community, Vipingo Ridge supports conservation on land and at sea.
In the global calendar of ‘national days’ the start of June is packed with opportunities to bring a spotlight onto a number of key sustainability and conservation topics:

Vipingo Ridge and our partners will be coming together on a selection of events to engage stakeholders and raise awareness about important local conservation issues, celebrate success and the spirit of collaboration, investing in our shared future.
Upcoming Events in our Conservation Series
World Reef Day celebrations and awareness at the Beach Club. From a Beach Clean up, performances, films and presentations we’re proud to support our community.
Training of the Vipingo Ridge team is the focus of our drive to reduce plastic pollution in line with the UN Environmental Programme.
From film screenings, an art exhibition and the crowning of Miss Mazingira - the World Ocean Day Festival will a celebration of local marine conservation.

Venue for international conservation technology workshops in Kenya for EarthRanger announced. From the Conference Centre to the Beach, over 100 delegates will network and explore important conservation conversations within the Wildlife Sanctuary of Vipingo Ridge.
The first convening of the Local and Indigenous Food Systems Transformation (LIFT) Network with Oceans Alive. The founder members from Nigeria, Brazil, Kenya, Canada, and Fiji will be at Vipingo Ridge this coming week.
