Vote Vipingo Ridge: Public Voting for 2026 Africa MICE Awards
Following a successful submission and the first round of review by the Africa MICE Awards judges, Vipingo Ridge has advanced to the public voting stage in four categories of the 2026 Africa MICE Awards.
This recognition comes as another significant milestone in our journey within Africa’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry. It also builds on last year, when Vipingo Ridge was nominated in the Africa MICE Awards, strengthening our continued presence and growing recognition as a destination for business events, sustainability and meaningful community impact.
The 2026 Africa MICE Awards recognise excellence across Africa’s business events industry, with categories spanning destinations, venues, sustainability, social impact, innovation and leadership. The awards’ evaluation framework considers areas including innovation, economic impact, sustainability and ESG integration, industry influence, scalability and inclusivity.
Four Categories. One Destination.
This year, Vipingo Ridge has been recognised across four distinct areas that reflect different aspects of what we are building as a lifestyle and MICE destination:
Best Emerging MICE Destination
This category recognises destinations demonstrating rapid growth and future potential in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions. For Vipingo Ridge, the nomination reflects our continued development as a destination where business events can be combined with hospitality, sport, nature, leisure and unique coastal experiences.
Best Green / Sustainable Venue
Sustainability is an important part of how Vipingo Ridge operates and develops. From conservation and wildlife protection to resource efficiency and environmental initiatives, our approach seeks to demonstrate that business events and responsible destination development can exist alongside the natural environment.
Community Impact Award
Our impact extends beyond our gates. Through partnerships, youth skills development, employment pathways, community programmes and collaborations with local organisations, we continue working to create opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the communities around us. This nomination recognises the importance of creating shared value alongside commercial growth.
Legacy Project Award
The Legacy Project Award is a Special Convenor’s Award, and Vipingo Ridge has been put forward for this recognition by the organisers. It acknowledges projects and initiatives with long-term and lasting impact, a particularly meaningful recognition as we continue to build a destination designed to create value well beyond individual events and experiences.
Now, We Need Your Vote
The public voting stage is open until 11st September 2026, after which the shortlist will be announced. The final judging and deliberations will follow, with the Africa MICE Awards Gala taking place in Mombasa on 2 October 2026.
The voting process is simple. You can vote once in each category, meaning you can support Vipingo Ridge across all four categories. The official voting platform requires an email address and allows voters to provide an optional reason for their choice.
